Which Indian film should I show to American people?!
Question: Which Indian film should I show to American people!?
I am trying to think of a good RECENT (anything beyond 2004) movie to show American people who know nothing about the Indian culture!. So I am looking for a movie that kind of shows the culture, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hey my friend!! I am stuck in the same situation and want to find that "perfect" movie to introduce my friends to bollywood!. Personally I like Taare Zameen Par (that's my favorite movie of all time!)!.!.also like Saawariya (but afraid people would get bored)!. Plus both TZP and Saawariya are not like your "typical Indian movies"!. The other movie I really like that is recent is Om Shaanti Om!. I would say you can't go wrong with Om Shaanti Om for following reasons:
1) It is highest grossing Indian movie of all time
2) It has "King Khan" - the most famous recognized bollywood actor
3) Deewangi Deewangi had all those cameo 31 stars you can pause and explain and point out to who is who
4) The songs are really nice and romantic!.!.plus they're both fast numbers and slow numbers!.!.!.good meaningful songs
5) It centers around the main theme of reincarnation, representative of Hindu religion
6) It's like your typical revenge type movie!.!.have the scary badguy who gets it at the end
7) It's exciting and funny so they will laugh - sure they'll miss a couple of inside jokes b/c they don't know bollywood history, but still they'll be able to follow and enjoy it :-DWww@Enter-QA@Com

well, it depends on what kind of movie it is!.coz it could good or bad, also always show ones with subtitles, but i would say Dhoom 2 because i should it 2 one of my American friends and they really enjoyed it!. And now my friend is crazy about ash!. and h!.roshan!. so!.!.!.!.!.!.!.pick a movie that dosen't have any embarrassing things or will leave a bad reputation!. If u wanna show culture then how bout viyha or Jhoda Akbar-I think that would be perfect!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
