I actually watched it last night!. In the end she uncovered what really happened to the family that lived there prior!. The man John that was helping the father out on the farm had really killed his family!. Jess gets into a sort of fight with John and winds up pushing him into the now formed pit in the basement!. When Jess tries to walk up the stairs she is grabbed by the legs and is being pulled into the put too by John I believe!. She is rescued though and it pretty much is a happy ending after that!.
