Australian & Brit film makers not given enough credit??!

Question: Australian & Brit film makers not given enough credit!?!?
The Australians and British don't make as many films as the Americans but when they do make them I think they are the best - so much more real!.
I have just watched Chopper for the first time and thought it was so well done, loved Lock Stock and Snatch, Muriels wedding etc, etc
Does anyone else agree that the Australian and British films (and their makers) are not given enough credit!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Yes!. Basically I agree with You!. But from the other side I have to remind you that Richard Attenborough and Ridley Scott are very successful British directors and also that you shouldn't forget George Miller (Australian)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You may have a valid argument, but srsly if you think Lock Stock, Snatch, and Muriels Wedding are indicative of British and Australian filmmaking, you should do a little bit more research as there are two industries that rival Hollywood in depth and historical importance going back to the earliest days of moviemaking!.

also, why is it that a British or Australian actor/actress only has to show up to work to be nominated for every major Hollywood acting award!? Just because they have a British accent doesn't make them more interesting, or the movie better, or classier!. Guy Ritchie's movies are a good example -- his characters are the equivalent of white trash in America!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
