What are your favorite classic movies?!

Question: What are your favorite classic movies!?
Answers:
Seven Samurai still gives me goose bumps!. It was ground-breaking, brilliant, riveting, awesome - a firey portrayal of the raw essences of life, captured as poems, vignettes, portraits, slashes, pastiches - all woven together into a grand theme expressing the urgency of life - indeed - each individual life - and championing the unspoken heroes, the common man and woman - scratching out mere survival from the earth - all the while molested, thieved and raped by the kings of the moment, the bandits of the black alleys, the thugs of the underbelly!.

See the Seven Samurai if you have not already!. You will be entertained, you will be amused, you will be puzzled, you will laugh, and you will cry, but it will change your life!. For many, the Seven, painted in another culture will universalize our own parochial thinking and call to us of a commoness to all human life!. It will turn villians into saints and saints into villians, cowards into heroes and heroes into cowards!. The Seven cuts through all the pretenses of our worldly materialism, cultural commercialism, practiced conventions, loosely-acquired ideologies and simply lays out humanity bare before us!. It crys out to us, if we can hear it, "What then else is there, but ourselves, all humanity taken as individual lives!? "And what else is there but seeking justice, life, love, community, human dignity, caring for one another, fighting for what is right, rising above the world to resonate in immortality!?" Yet it is the immortality of the quiet, humble, simple, soul, who understand nothing of this, yet embodies it!. There is hope for humanity yet!. We do not lurch forward out of control, driven and conquered by greed and lust!. There is goodness in us!. We simply must find it, at all costs!.

Seven Samurai (七人の侍, Shichinin no samurai!?) is a 1954 Japanese film co-written, edited and directed by Akira Kurosawa!. The film takes place in Warring States Period Japan (around 1587/1588)!. It follows the story of a village of farmers that hire seven masterless samurai (ronin) to combat bandits who will return after the harvest to steal their crops!.

Seven Samurai is frequently described as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made, and is one of a select few Japanese films to become widely known in the West for an extended period of time!. It is the subject of both popular and critical acclaim; it was voted onto Sight & Sound's list of the ten greatest films of all time in 1982 and 1992, and remains on the director's top ten films in the 2002 poll!.
