The great thing about the movie is that they didn't try to explain where it came from or what it was!. Why make another movie!?

I thought it would have been neat if the first movie was split up into two different story lines that were told simultaneously!. The story that was already there, plus some member of the government's story!. It could cut back and forth from one to the other!. Maybe if they did something like that for number 2 it would be neat!. And there is no need to try and explain where it came from or what it is, that leaves it to the viewer's mind to create whatever it wants!. A person's imagination can definitely be scarier than anything Hollywood can produce!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
no, they need to make original thriller movies and horror movies!. originality doesnt exist anymore in arts and film when they rehash the same ideas from the 1950s over and over and over and over and over again!. if they make a cloverfield 2, use the same kind of suspensful filiming concepts but come up with a conflict element that is totally new and unique (something like combining two totally different things like a computer virus that ejects segments of the earth into outer space because of a secret government operation)!. sounds crazy, but it would make for a good indie movie!. They should make the new one from the perspective of the commander and chief as he has to contemplate destroying his own city or have all his soldiers die trying to fight it!.

I agree!. I liked Cloverfield because it didn't really go into the hx of the creature, it brought us into the chaos so like the main characters we didn't know what was going on either or why this monster was present!. I think the sequel will be bombarded with over the top special effects or it'll have a corny storyline!. The monster won't even look the same I bet!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They should make the second movie like a tv show explaining the monster and where it came from!. If they do a second movie it shouldn't be like the first one it should be different not the same!. I did like Cloverfield and will watch the sequel if they do one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was at the end during the clip of the guy and girl on the ferris wheel thing!. Watch the right of the screen above the boat and look for a very small blurry dot!. I honestly don't think that they should!. I loved the movie just the way it is, and I think that the mystery of where it came from was part of the suspense!. That is what made it so good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
