Why did Indiana Jones say Mola Ram betrayed Shiva, and why did the Sankara stone!

Question: Why did Indiana Jones say Mola Ram betrayed Shiva, and why did the Sankara stone glow red because of that!?
At the end of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indy tells Mola Ram that he betrayed Shiva!. Then, the Sankara stone they're battling over glows red-hot!. What exactly did Mola Ram do to betray Shiva!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Stealing the Sankara stones was the betrayal!. The stones came from Shiva to start with, and the villages where the stones were located viewed them as sacred, bringers of good fortune, and so on!. Mola Ram perverted the purpose of the stones by using them in the Thuggee cult, in worship that involved such charming (speaking sarcastically, of course) actions as human sacrifice, drugging people into slavery, and kidnapping children for more slave labor!.

And because the stones were sacred to Shiva, they glowed and became hot when Jones invoked Shiva's name by naming Mola Ram as a betrayer of Shiva!. Hope that helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com
