same!. i loved iron man!!! the only thing i didn't like about it was how long it was!. but other then that it was amazing!!
and i really liked cloverfield! people get mad about how it doesn't explain why the monster is there!.!.!.!. but i personally loved it because its more realistic that way!.

Funny thing is, I thought Cloverfield actually lived up to the hype, whereas Iron Man didn't!.
Yes, I know what you're thinking!. A "movie guy" that DIDN'T LIKE Iron Man!?!!
To be honest, I found it disappointing!. The acting was terrific and there were some hilarious lines ("This isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing" cracked me up), yet I don't think the film really brought anything unique to the genre of superhero movies!. I almost felt like I was watching Spider-Man all over again!. also, many of the film's scenes drag on for much too long (the opening half-hour in Afghanistan, as well as Tony Stark's encounter with a couple of pilots) and there really isn't much of a plot!. So as much as I wanted to like it, I found Iron Man to be a bit of a letdown!.
Still, it's much better than most of the films that have been released this year (CoughJumpercough)!.
As for Cloverfield, I just thought it was one heck of a thrill ride!. A dull first act, but the film is saved by good performances and a smart script!. Although some have pointed out the "Blair Witch Project" similarities, I think Cloverfield does a better job than Iron Man, at least in terms of originality!.
