I adored it!.!.!. I have always been a HUGE Burton and Depp fan!. I have friends that watched it and didn't get it!. They say they like the storyline, but can't stand the singing!. I think they have no culture in this MTV world!. I want to know your honest opinions!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Best movie of 2007 by far, Tim Burton's view on Sweeney was brilliant, and the acting was superb!.

I'm actually listening to the soundtrack right now, and I own the 2 disk special edition DVD!.
I can't say that the singing was "Broadway quality", but then again, it was never meant to be!. The players were hired first as actors and SECOND as singers!. They all delivered stellar performances and ranged from decent to brilliant in singing ability!.
It was an adaptation!. The singing was of course important because in the end it was still an operetta, but the intense emotions such as through the eyes and facial expressions really made the movie instead of years of vocal training (or lack thereof)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
