Question: Family Cesorship!?
Quick question for you:
When you were younger and you'd watch television and movies with your parents, did they react to violence on screen different than nudity or sex on screen!?
I'll give you a for instance:
I would be allowed to watch just about any scene in a violent movie I wanted, but if a risque sex scene or a nude woman appeared on screen, that's when the parental hand dropped down and covered my eyes!.
Was it the same for you!? Different!?

I remember seeing somewhat nude scenes in movies when I was a kid, like a girl walking away from a lake from the back, stuff like that!. My parents didn't react to it!.
But I remember watching St!. Valentines Day Massacre and they didn't let me watch the scene where one group got shot up with machine guns by the other!.
I think they had their priorities correct!. A girl's behind wasn't going to mess me up or scare me, but a bunch of guys getting riddled with bullets might have quite an effect on me as a kid!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

We weren't allowed to watch any of it!. We were told not to watch certain programs and we didn't because we were taught to obey our parents!.
Interestingly enough, parents these days have to lock their children out of programming with v-chips!.!.!.
But then, we also weren't allowed to spend a lot of time in front of the tv (the internet didnt exist when I was a kid)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not really!. My parents told me not to watch stuff, and so I didn't!. They didn't follow all the ratings and such, but if they deemed it innapropriate, whether for violence or sexuality, they just said no, and I listened!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was never able to watch any film that had nudity!. And depending on how violent the movie would be whether or not I was allowed to watch it!.
I think the first really violent movie I ever seen was "Glory"!. I mean in the first five minutes a dude's head is blown in pieces!.
I remember the first movie I seen that had nudity was Single White Female!. HBO was having one of their free previews!. I was sick and stayed home, while everyone went up to my Uncle's house!. So I was watching that, and everytime a car came into the neighborhood, I was looking out the windo to make sure it wasn't my Mom!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
