It was the 1953 film, From Here To Eternity!. (Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr are the couple!. ) One of the most famous scenes in film history!. Really sexy for the time, and full of psychological symbolism!. (Kerr is the repressed adulterous wife, and Lancaster the Army sergeant who is making it with his superior officer's wife, in the days just before the attack on Pearl Harbor!.) Tourists and visitors still go to the site on the beach where they filmed that scene in Honolulu!.
