I'm going to use this opportunity to rant about Ratatouille!.
The message of the story was garbled!. (It's not okay for rats to steal!. I suppose they're supposed to milk the cows and churn the butter themselves!. I'm sorry; they're supposed to cook in fabulous restaurants that get closed and then they reopen another restaurant that will get closed later!.!.!.!?)
The characters okay, but far from memorable (like say Edna Mole in the Incredibles)!.
The animation was fantastic!.!.!.!.of the same scene over and over (the kitchen)!.
The typical audience for an animated movie is supposed to be the kid!. But, my four-year-old was bored silly!. He typically has a long attention span (loves Toy Story, Bugs Life, The Incredibles, etc!.)!. This year, he loved Meet the Robinsons so much more, and the story was much better!. (I think these came out the same year!.)
