I think that Daniel (a non-religious and volatile man) always wanted to bring Eli down off his pulpit by having him exclaim that he was a false prophet and God was a superstition!. Daniel also blamed Eli (in part) for not being able to cure his son of deafness--a miraculous feat that Eli had proclaimed that he was capable of doing for others as a faith healer!. I don't think that Daniel meant to kill Eli on the bowling alley floor, at that particular moment in time!. But the opportunity was there to just go ahead and finish him off!. As Daniel said, "I'm finished"!. And he was "finished" in every sense of the word!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
