Is Alex a Clockwork Orange himself or is he the anti-hero because he's not a!

Question: Is Alex a Clockwork Orange himself or is he the anti-hero because he's not a clockwork orange!?
The idea behind a "clockwork orange" is that they are organisms seemingly filled with color and juice, however they are merely toys of god or the devil to be wound up!. I'm referring to the book more so than the movie with this question!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would say that Alex is a clockwork orange!. He is the perfect product of the society that made him and later when they change him he is again filled with other peoples desires and intentions for him!. He is always a vessel and I believe a mirror reflection of the world around him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

From wiki!.!.!.!.

Burgess thought that the phrase could be used punningly to refer to a mechanically responsive (clockwork) human (orang, Malay for "man")!.

In his essay "Clockwork Oranges", Burgess asserts that "this title would be appropriate for a story about the application of Pavlovian, or mechanical, laws to an organism which, like a fruit, was capable of colour and sweetness"!. This title alludes to the protagonist's positively conditioned responses to feelings of evil which prevent the exercise of his free willWww@Enter-QA@Com
