Question: I've never seen a 'horror' movie and i want to see Prom Night (2008) Really bad. If anyone has seen Prom Night can you please tell me all you know (because i might not be able to see it in theaters anyways) i don't care for spoilers

High school student Donna Keppel loses her entire family (mom, dad, and brother) at the hands of Richard Fenton, a teacher who became obsessed with her. Three years later, Donna, now about to graduate and living with her aunt and uncle, undergoes therapy and takes medication to deal with the trauma. The action of the film takes places on the night of her senior prom, begun when she goes to the dance with her boyfriend, Bobby, and her friends Claire, Lisa, Michael and Ronnie.
Meanwhile, Fenton escapes from prison. Detectives Winn and Nash, once aware of the danger Donna faces, go to surveil the prom in case Fenton shows up.
Donna, Bobby, Lisa, Ronnie, Micheal and Claire arrive at the prom — unaware that Fenton is there and plans to abduct Donna. Ronnie heads to the front desk and orders a room on the third floor; Fenton overhears the order and also gets a room on the third floor. Fenton heads up to his room and kills the hotel maid, gaining access to the hotel's universal key. Claire and Michael are having a fight,and Claire heads back upstairs. Fenton kills Claire in the suite's bathroom, unknown to the others.
Winn and Nash find a dead body in the trunk of a car outside, but they have no proof that Fenton is the culprit. Alarmed, they increase their surveillance.
Micheal heads up to the room to find Claire, thinking she locked herself in the bathroom, he waits in the suite. However Fenton leaves the bathroom and creeps around the room until Michael finds him in the closet, where Fenton murders him.
Lisa and Ronnie head up to the suite and Lisa sees Fenton in the elevator, but does not completely recognize him. She realizes his identity when she and Ronnie are having an intimate moment in the suite, and sprints downstairs to warn Donna; Ronnie is left confused and angry, as he was just about to propose marriage to her.
Lisa runs into Fenton, who chases her around the hotel, and eventually down into the basement. Ronnie comes down on the elevator and calls for her, but she does not answer as Fenton is searching for her, so he takes the elevator back up. When Lisa thinks Fenton has left, she gets up only to have her neck slit.
Fenton then kills Simms, the hotel doorman, who has been sent to find the hotel maid. Detective Winn heads up to the room, sees the maid's dead body, and knows Fenton is there. He rings the emergency alarm and evacuates the building, just before prom king and queen are announced, who were going to be Ronnie and Lisa. Ronnie and Bobby head outside while Donna goes back upstairs to retreive her mother's shawl she left in the suite. Donna sees Fenton and runs for it, hiding under a bed — where she sees Claire's dead body. When Fenton is looking under another bed, Donna tries to escape and runs outside into Winn and Nash, who take her back outside after searching unsuccessfully for Fenton.
Nash drives Donna and Bobby back to Donna's house. Winn searches the hotel, but finds no sign of Fenton, only Lisa's dead body. Winn tells Ronnie Lisa is dead, and Ronnie is devastated.
Back at Donna's house, Nash and another cop patrol the house while Donna and Bobby go to sleep. Donna wakes up from a bad dream and sees Bobby dead. She then sees a strange shadow. Thinking it is Fenton, she runs into the closet, unaware that Fenton is actually in the closet. The shadow turns out to be Winn, and just as he walks into the room, Fenton grabs Donna from behind, saying "Shhh. They'll hear us!". Just as Winn is about to check in the closet, Donna's aunt screams, frightened by the dead police officer in her driveway. Meanwhile, in the closet, Donna bites Fenton's hand and runs out of the closet, however she trips and fall and as Fenton is about to stab her, Winn runs in and shoots him. The final shot is of Donna crying over Bobby's dead body.
It's about a girl named Donna (Birttany Snow) that is being chased by a psycho on her prom night. And in order to get her he must kill her friends, foes, and even family, In the end the plocie shot the killer, Trust me it's a bad movie, The deaths were overplayed, and the characters were stupid.
