Are you more happy with the real or alternate ending of "I Am Legend"?!

I preferred the second ending. I liked the fact that Dr. Neville lives. But more importantly, I liked the fact that the Alpha male and female show remnants of human emotion, that they did not revert to an animal-like state, as the audience was initially led to believe.
the first and original ending to me fits the whole " butterfly " concept so much more. It was his Legend to die to save them, not to live and move to the refugee camp. the alternate, while touchy feely and a nice look that even as monsters we can retain the ability to love, it just takes too mcuh away from R. Neville, as this is HIS story, not ours or the monsters in general.
I am Legend, not I and those guys, and humanity, and the neighbors cat, are Legend.
honestly, i wished the ending was more or less like the book ending. it had more meaning and really left you asking some questions, and that's what a good book does. even good movies will leave you questioning, but this one was pretty much a closed case.
that being said, ignoring the book, i'd pick the 1st ending because there was some meaning to his fight for a cure.
well what would hapen if will lives would the zombies go open the hach and kill them all he has to die or they would all die and there would be no cure to the sickness. so i like the 1st one. i hope theres a secound if there is it might be called i am legasy
