I think they are both gonna be HOT!!!
However, I really do believe that Iron Man will make more money at the box office because it will not be anywhere near as dark as Batman, The Dark Knight, will be. Meaning, of course, that a younger audience will be attracted (and allowed to see) Iron Man. My son loved Batman Begins, but he is saying that the Joker really creeps him out, and he may not want to see it (he is 10). He wants to be the first in line to see Iron Man.
I think they are both going to be really good, or at least I'm hoping they are. I haven't really seen too many previews for Iron Man, but Robert Downey Jr. seems to be perfect for Tony Stark. On the other hand, The Dark Knight looks like its going to be awesome!
Tough call, because neither one may be worth seeing. I'm going to skip seeing "The Dark Knight" in a theater and, depending on word of mouth, I may not rent it either. I will see "Iron Man" in a theater because I want to see how Robert Downey Jr. plays Iron Man, but Downey may not be able to save the film if the script is terrible.

I think they both will be good but...I think Batman Dark Knight will blow every box office record just because Heath Ledger is dead now.
I plan to see both and I'm glad there is a couple of months between them.

The Dark Knight. Mainly because first tries on a comic book character are usually not that good. Chris Nolan has established his Batman character and knows what works and what doesn't. The first Hulk sucked, didn't it? Iron Man is yet to be an established movie character.
