Who thinks that american films are bad?!

Question: Most of them ! but not all offcourse !

Answers: Most of them ! but not all offcourse !

A lot of them are, but there are also some good ones sprinkled around.

Not at all. Every country produces some good films and some bad films. The US has had one of the biggest impacts on cinema and film in general out of any other country, and while the Hollywood system may be a mess right now it has produced some damn fine movies and will do so again.

On top of that, there are a ton of independent filmmakers working in the US right now that are making some solid movies, and some of the old standards like Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton and Spielberg are still making outstanding films.

Not all are bad some are real good

A lot of them are good it's just Americans will pay to see movies no matter how stupid they are so as soon as someone gets a good enough script they put it out.

I think it just seems like all the films are bad since they roll them out like an assembly line. Way too many movies come out each year. And then there is so much competition they complain they didn't make enough money. It seems like a horror or slapstick comedy comes out each month!

Most of the movies are about what can be stuffed into the time frame (too much talking, explosions, visual effects). The indies are usually better. It is typical American, just about making money instead of making a great film.

I love many foreign films since there are beautiful shots and they do not often feel the need to have the actors state the obvious.

Not me.
