I need an elderly actress for a film, where do I look?!
Question: I need an elderly actress to play an Alzheimer's Disease / Dementia patient for a short film highlighting the issue.
My grandmother recently passed, and she struggled with the disease, I am hoping this film will honor her memory and help me get a scholarship to a film school.
BUT I can't find elderly actresses in my area anywhere on teh internet! I live in Dallas, tx.

Try an elderly community. The kind of neighborhoods that only permit people 55+ or so to live there. Pass out fliers. Put a telephone number on the flier for them to contact you.
Check out a local nursing home. I bet the staff could suggest someone who might fit the bill.
Does University of Texas have a film department or theater department? You might try them. If they don't have anyone, they might be able to recommend a place you can go
Get someone you know who is older and has some theatric ability. If you dont' know anyone, ask your friends if THEY know anyone...and then if their friend's friends know anyone.
