I think if you like scary movies you will love the first 30 minutes or so then you might not like the rest. It is based from a Stephen King novel of the same name and is about aliens in the woods of Maine and about life long friends who have to stop them. The book is a lot better than the movie.
It's worth watching definetly, but make sure you pay close attention, because it can get a tad confusing. I won't tell you why because it would give it away, but great film if you get it. It also has some graphic bloody scenes, so be warned if you are queezy.
All a matter of opinion, the movie as a whole wasn't too bad, it dragged a lot though and the ending was as lame as Stephen Kings "It".

Anything with Thomas Jane is worth watching...except for "The Sweetest Thing"
It's not that scary but it is a good movie to watch. There is a lot of blood, though.
