In almost every movie and t.v. show, when a person comes from the Grocery Store !
Question: French Bread... Why is this so?
Answers: French Bread... Why is this so?
Whenever I buy French bread at the store it comes in a loose paper sleeve, with a few inches of bread protruding from one end. So I assume that the uncovered end is sticking out of the bag.
As to why it's always shown, I think it's just for aesthetics and the connotations of French bread. It's nicer to see a loaf of fresh crusty bread than a plastic bag of perservative-laden Wonderbread. :) And I guess it's supposed to say something about the person's tastes.
I was just watching some show on TV and noticed that too! I keep thinking to myself that that bread would be sooo stale! I don't know why they do it, I just thought I'd agree with you!
My wife and I laugh at that everytime we see it. I think it's the TV grocery formula. (Makes you wonder how they scan it at the store.)
Hah. I had never really thought about it, but it does seem to happen a lot. I am no set designer or anything, but I might guess that maybe its just to add some depth to the grocery bag... different shapes and sizes. It's proably more appealing to see as opposed to just a bag of square boxes.
Maybe they just pass the same loaf from movie to movie!! Yum!!
