Answers: if you dont find horrors scary but still like them then wats the best horror youve seen?

Way back when it first came out the scariest for me was The Exorcist...
Priests all over the country were asking people not to go into cinemas and see it...By modern standards its now laughable, but back then it was scary....

Hellraiser scared the pants off me!

I don't find them scary, but the most disturbing one I've seen in a long time was The Hills Have Eyes. The absolute worst one I've seen is Devils Rejects, it was a yawn-fest form beginning to end!! x

When i was younger there was a horror movie that really freaked me out called "trol"

The only recent horror i found scary in some ways was 1408

scariest thing ive seen is me after a big night out- horrific!

Its not a movie but it has to be me without any make-up on after doing a night shift, keep those mirrors out of my way.

Thirteen Ghosts!!

Most people dont find this scary. but i cant stand it...x

i h8 horrors though I saw SAW and it ruined my sleep for around a month or two afterwards cuz i kept thinking the guy was hiding underneath my bed and he was gonna do this crap to me before he killed me and i had to something disgusting to get free... thats my opinion dont tihnk i dont have and guts. i just dont wanna end up like that.

Wouldn't call it the 'Best' but the scariest is the international news.... think about it !

the blair witch project

The Omen is by far and away the scariest movie I have ever seen. I am not sure why, but I think that the fact they were using passages from the bible, and that the baddies were all human, and not some ridiculous monster, made the whole thing more belieable and realsitic.
Great series of films.

The Descent is a great horror/thriller.

Sarah (Macdonald), a keen sportswoman, loses her husband and daughter in a tragic car accident but she survives. One year later she reunites with five of her girlfriends for a group deep cave exploration, lead by her friend Juno (Mendoza). As they venture into the cave, they are trapped when a cave-in impedes their exit. As they continue into the cave searching for a new exit, they discover a colossal group of a new breed of blood-thirsty predator that are keen on eating the six girls...all alone in an undiscovered cave. Low on equipment, they try to find an exit, but things look pretty hopeless. As their friendships deteriorate, the girls find themselves in a desperate struggle to stay alive while searching desperately for an exit before they become dinner... Horrifying to the point of hiding yourself under the covers of your bed, this film is not for the light-hearted. As well as the extreme scare factor, the gore factor is even higher with an enormous amount of violence. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and I whole-heartedly recommend it to those who can stomach it.

Im a bit of a horror movie buff and the best one I have ever seen is 'the descent' the first half was boring but I almost couldn't bear to watch the rest. Scared the hell outta me!! I recommend it to everyone who likes horrors.

The mist, the exorcist, and cross roads with britney spears(OOOOOOO)ha!ha!

Could not choose one but in terms of making me jump, films such as 'The Descent', 'The Grudge' etc.

Psychologically, when I first watched The Blair Witch Project I was only 11 and believed it was a true story so that kept me awake for about 6 months! The Ring series also got to me and I still rate The Rings as some of the best of the decade.

In terms of the most disturbing, the Hostel, Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are the most horrific in my opinion, mainly because it could be true and it is humans inflicting it on other humans, which is hard to stomach. I don't understand how a person can physically torture another (although in Saw it is more indirect).

Historically, it must be The Exorcist, although I do agree when watched in the modern day it is laughable. Also, the Freddie Kruger films are scary because they take place when you're asleep (and yes I have dreamt of him before and I did NOT like it!)

Modern day horror is getting a bit short on ideas but a film I absolutely LOVED (although I'm not sure if it is classed as a horror) was 'I Am Legend'.

well it didnt scare me

but according to several sites and sources

THE DESCENT is the scariest movie of all time

Some oldens.....Chuckie
Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds
both were extremely eerie :-)

The scariest movie I watched when I was about 12 years of age was 'The Exorcist', it was psychologically disturbing at the time and apparently the girl who acted the main role of the possessed child suffered traumatic psychological problems afterwards, as did the girl in 'Poltergheist'?
I don't get any pleasure from watching horror movies at all now, but I watched The Exorcist again 20 years after the first time and I laughed at the 'special effects', i.e. camera trickery where the childs head spins around, I guess modern ones are far more convincing and 'scary'.
