well there are teasers, trailers, and theatrical trailers.
a teaser is about 15-30 seconds long.
A trailer is 1- 1:30
a theatrical trailer is about 1:30-2 minutes
Basically you want to give the plot point of the film itself but not too much of the story. Just enough to get them hooked, but not too much so they already know the story.
2 -2 1/2 minutes. Key features would be introducing the problem, the characters, and exciting scenes that happen in the movie.
