So they're making another Hulk with Ed Norton......?!

Question: are we just supposed to pretend that God-awful film with Eric Bana never existed?

Yeah..they're taking a mulligan.

I like comics, and grew up reading lots of them, but I never really liked the hulk. Not the green one anyway. I liked the grey version better, where he never turned into Bruce Banner and wore suits and stuff. But that will never be made into a movie so we're stuck with the "you won't like me when I'm angry" version.

I watched the preview on their website, and honestly it just looks awful. I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

Yep....Pretty much.

They basically hit the "Cosmic Reset button" and are starting over.

Though I'd take exception with your critique of the film -- it was by no means perfect (leave it to Ang Lee to turn "The Hulk" into a relationship movie), but it did have a solid cast and some really good action set pieces.

Apparently we are. I don't think this new one is going to be much better. I just can't picture Edward Norton as the Hulk.

yea i've already forgotten about it........this is one is not a sequel to the first

I guess so......The first one was called "The Hulk", the new one is called "The Incredible Hulk", and looks better than the other one.........

THERE WAS ANOTHER MADE BEFORE?

Ed Norton???
weird....I guess they're going to CGI the bajeezus out of it....

I've heard this one is even worse than the first one. Ed Norton is demanding final approval on everything including the edit. I've been hearing he's a control freak and the movie is just awful.

I know I'm going to get crap for this, but... I really didn't hate the one with Eric Bana. I liked the cast and I didn't hate the movie all in all. I'm not a huge Hulk fan, so that may have something to do with it.

I don't really like Ed Norton, though. So I probably will be pretending the new one doesn't exist.

The new one is going to be a sequel (Ed Norton takes Eric Bana's spot and Liv Tyler takes Jennifer Connelly's spot). I've heard it compared to Alien and Aliens on imdb, where the movie will follow the same story, but have a different feel/style to the movie.

I agree that the first one was pretty terrible. At least this one looks somewhat better... the Hulk isn't some bright lime green cartoon character. In the Incredible Hulk, he's darker and looks a little more realistic (although I probably won't forget that it's just cgi while watching the movie like I did with other movies like Jurassic Park).

Agreed the first was bad..why did they have to supersize Hulk? Now this one with Ed Norton..wonder how he is going to turn out. Feel that the scope for the Hulk franchise is limited in that the storyline will suffer. Fantastic Four's Thing is a more apt representation of how the Hulk should transform into.

Yea, it's a completely different story being told.

I may be in the minority here, but I like the 1st film, I felt like Ang Lee tried to be artistic and reflective rather than making a Michael Bay movie with a million cliches and canned comic lines. It may have been much for some people but I liked it.

Anyway, I'll probably see the new one.

Please say it isn't true! Not Edward Norton! Oh, how could he shame himself!?

The film was originally meant to continue from Hulk with eric bana in it. But Edward Norton rewrote the script to make it similar to The 1978 Incredible Hulk and Bruce Jones' run in the comic books, thus severing all ties to its predecessor and retelling Bruce's origin through flashbacks. Therefore the two films are not within the same continuity. It is not a sequel they are just starting Fresh
