Is there a place where you can send an email that will get to the person who wri!

Question: I saw this movie, it was from the States. Anyway, it is a new release and it is a light hearted comedy. There is one scene where in3 seconds of the movie, they show this one thing that is serious... just the way it was written and just the way it was acted out touched me so deeply. That moment was so profound and showed the pain so accutely that is from peopel that are 'unacceptable' in our society. I thought that was such an excellent way to portray these people and to show that the rejection that 'well meaning people' give, is tramatic. I want to let someone know that that movie, and that scene was amazing and spoke more volumes than a report of pages and pages of writing on the subject.

Is there a way to compliment and give credit to a movie?

Writers, unlike movie stars, get almost no appreciation for the work they do.
You need to rent the movie, and look in the credits to see who the writer was. Call the Writers Guild of America (look online) and ask for the agent contact for this writer.
You can send a letter to the writer via the agent and tell them about it. They will appreciate it.

Have you tried their website? New films tend to have a dedicated website for further information about the film and may have a contact/comments link somewhere.

imdb.com or rottentomatoes.com is a great place to review movies.

If you want to go as far as contacting the Director of the film, imbdb.com is also your place. Just type in the name of the film, then scroll down to the Director, and click his name. On his page you can click Contact. You may have to sign up for imbd.com Pro (a 14-day trial is available) to access this information. You will be provided with a mailing address and possibly an e-mail address.
