I wanna watch Sweeney Todd, but it's rated R?!

I'm not 18 and yet my parents let me watch it. The only bad parts are the blood that shoots out from people but thats it. Oh ya and Johnny sings a song about something smelling like piss but no bad language. Try to find it online and watch it there if you can!

Its only rated R for excess use of blood, which looks fake, but very cool in the film.
I'm not 18 either and I saw it in theaters twice.
it's kind of violent ie lots of blood, but its like, too much blood and quite fake.

Well I haven't seen it but I can't imagine how "bad" it could be. I mean we aren't talking SAW here (I don't think anyway.) Explain to your dad the reasons you want to watch it and the things in it you think you'll like. Invite him to watch it with you and let him hold the remote to FF or turn it off if he feels it's inappropriate. I would think this movie runs along the lines of Beetlejuice/Edward Scissor hands. Odd but not gorey.
OTOH things like Superhero and I Am Legend have a PG-13 rating and have more vulgarity (SH) and supernatural/thriller (IAL) elements in them than what *I* think that rating would suggest. Go figure!
Watch it, don't be a pussy, a little blood never hurt ahyone.
