Kinda. It tells the story of Johnny Cash's life. And most of it follows his relationship with June Carter.
Mmmm, yes and no. It follows the life of Johnny Cash and as such his relationship with June Carter. It could be classed as a love story but I think it's more of a biopic really.

It's a true story about Johnny Cash & his life.I guess you could call it a love story,but it was about how he got started,his 1st marriage,being addicted to drugs,& meeting & falling in love w/ June Carter.
Well it was the story of Cash's life. He wanted June Carter to marry him as long as he could remember. It was a great movie, but I have only watched it once, because it is one of those movies that really seems like it covers so much and takes so long. (casting Reese to play June was an upgrade.)
