Worst movie remake so far?!
Question: I'm going to say The Wicker Man. The original is a classic and my 2nd all-time favourite film, but the remake is nothing but a complete and utter disgrace and insult.

OMG I could go on all day with these.....Dawn of The Dead, The movie with Rene Russo and Dennis quaid...it was a remake of a movie with Lucille Ball, just can't think of the name right this second.........ANY Remake of a horror film......
My vote goes to "House of Wax".
The Omen. Just terrible, horribly cast, and nowhere near as spooky as the original.

Gus Van Sant's Psycho. It's a shot by shot remake of the original where Van Sant copied literally everything. Every cut is the same, every camera movement is the same, all the dialogue is 100% the same.
He basically looked at the original and re-filmed it in color with different actors. The end.... yuck.
The remake of HALLOWEEN, that came out last year. The totally made it all ranchy and self explaining. It tried to psycho analyze and tell you why Michael Myers became the killer he was and they totally changed the story line to do so. In the original he came from a normal mid america home. In the remake, they describe him coming from a poor trailer park thashy home. His mom was a stripper. His crusty old step dad was rude and pushed him over the edge, etc.
