It was really selfish of the 'good guys' ahem, wasn't it. Just riding off, into the sunset, feeling all self-important and leaving the old night to clean up the mess.
As I understand it, the night is making a good living now, solving crimes with some teenagers and a witty robot.
suppose, as he's still guardian to the Grail, he'd be still alive - buried alive in that little temple.
But anyway, you're thinking to much about that...
Well the cup went past the seal and fell down the cravass, so I would assume he would grow old and die with no cup to drink from! It was the Holy Grail that enabled him to live for so long! or he just starved to death lol! poor him! :o(
Well, he can repair things and make it all nice. gives him something to do

The cup was not allowed to cross the seal or else the gift(if you can call it that) of eternal life would be snatched away. When it crossed the seal the knights 'gift ' was destroyed therefore could not live any longer because of teh age he was at anyway. Human nature took its course.
And if that was not the case then the knight wouldve wanted to die after being trapped for years and so would not have tried to escape whilst the temple was collapsing.
