Best romance movies/novels?!

Question: I rented A Walk to Remember and The Notebook recently from Blockbuster after not having seen both movies for a long time. I plan on reading the book versions of the movies as well as some other books by Nicholas Sparks. I was wondering if anyone knows of any more good romance movies/novels? Thanks!

"A Walk to Remember" is my favorite romance movie! I actually liked the movie more than the book. You should read Nicholas Sparks' "The Wedding" also. It is the continuation to "The Notebook." I actually cried when reading that book which is a first for me. I don't know if you like watching older movies but two movies that still can make me cry are "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour and "Immortal Beloved" with Gary Oldman as Beethoven. The latter is about the secret love life of the composer, so sad. "A Walk to Remember" is the only recent movie that I can rank with these two. It took me that long...

Try mills and boons.

Carla Neggers and Nora Roberts both write some really good books, they are more romantic suspense, but they are good. and definetly read more of Nicholas Sparks, I've never been let down by any of his books, I've read most of them.

Tristan and Isolde was a good movie. I don't think it's a book, though. If you want romance novels, then read the Twilight series. They're brilliant! I think that they've ruined the movie though...The Book Thief has more of a family love in it, but it's still amazing (I cried like a baby at the end, be prepared with tissues! Everyone else who I know that's read it thinks the same). The Twilight series is by Stephenie Meyer, and the Book Thief is by Markus Zusak. Also, read Pride and Prejudice! :], there's a modern day version of it too called Enthusiasm (and it centers around and enthusiast and her friend, and they both love pride and prejudice).

Nicholas Evans is another good author. He did the Horse Whisperer, The Loop, and one of my favorites Smoke Jumper.
Danielle Steele is another good romance author.

But if you don't mind a little fantasy/suspense, Terry Goodkind tops my list anytime. Read "Wizards First Rule" I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I cried and I've read it 10 times over.

Plus they're going to make it into a series on ABC.

Twilight by stephenie meyers READ IT! ( and then the 2 sequels)
