Answers: I saw it a while ago and i was wondering if it was real..

NO. There's a Walmart on the other side of the trees in the back ground. Plus The kids in it showed up to recieve an award. Did the witch let em go long enough to accept? I dont think so.

no

Nope, it's just a movie made to look like a documentary.

The Blair Witch Project is not real.

No i don't think so because they suppossedly died from the "witch" but then i saw the three people in the movie accept awards for it at an Award Ceremony thing for documentaries...its a hoax, but a pretty good one if you ask me

The directors gave the actors some video cameras and sent them on this wild ghost hunt. While the actors were camping, the directors made weird sounds in the woods, placed the stick figures and basically did their best to scare the actors. So, no it is not real, but the fear you see in the actors' faces may be real because they probably were indeed pretty scared.

no, but it wasn't entirely scripted, so it seems more real. They hired actors who were good at improvising, and gave them small bits of direction throughout the filming. This way, they didn't know what was coming next, and their reactions seemed more authentic.

No, director Daniel Myrick was fascinated with the 1938 radio play of "War of the Worlds" as a child. He saught to create the same kind of mass media tricks that Orson Wells employed. He decided on the theme of three lost students as that would be hard to disprove without a large amount of work. Daniel Myrick was recently interviewed on my favorite podcast WNYC Radiolab in the episode "War of the World"
