It's Sean Bean, and he was Boromir in Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. He also had a small part in The Two Towers if you watch the extended edition. His dramatic fight to the death at the end of Fellowship was great and shouldn't be missed.
He was also in Silent Hill, and the Hitcher. I've heard Silent Hill was a good movie. The Hitcher...not so much.
