GENTLEMEN, NORMAL ACTION SCENES Like This Are Forever Gone?!

Question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAAl2zfk6...

This scene is from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). I used to watch this movie a lot as child and do even now. Things to note:

*There are many females in the movie. However, note they don't have a chip on their shoulder and are perfectly comfortable in accompanying roles, as well as are the men.

*Notice the muscular-armed man at 1:00 behind Khan. His attitude serves to a convey a sense of an imminent virile confrontation.

*At 2:16, notice the close-up of the gunner's face and the phaser locks being shown at the same time. I must have imitated that a hundred time when I was small, LoL!

*At 3:21, note the urgency with which Kirk and Spock discuss the damaged status of the ship. The softer music is perfect for this and ratchets up again once Kirk asks for a visual and the subsquent incoming torpedo is shown.

Gone forever and good riddance. I about fell asleep watching that clip.
I don't want to diss the whole movie, it still is one of the best star treks and Spock's death scene still gets me but you can find scenes in other movies that keep the tension up with out "in your face action" better than this one.

We have to BLOW CRAP UP!

An action movie is not an action movie unless we blow crap up. We cannot reason, we cannot discuss, we cannot cajole. Crap must be blown up.

Shall I direct you to Die hard 4? (OK, I know it's not called that, but you know the film of which I speak)
