It's part of Disney's marketing strategy. Once they sell the movie on DVD, they reissue it as the "longer foreign" version. Then the "shorter foreign" version, the "uncut version", the "full version", the "anniversary version" with the interviews to the cast one year later (surprisingly rolled during the production of the film!), the "karaoke version", the "dance along" version, the "empty DVD" version....

This is the most amazing marketing operation I've seen in all my life (and I've seen a LOT). Old Walt is a marketing evil genius...

Well, some films are cut in some countries, so they're longer or shorter than somewhere else.

Sorry if I confused you, here's an easier example.

High School Musical 2 is 98 minutes long in the US (Humuhumu is not in this cut).

In Germany, it's 104 minutes long, meaning they added some stuff.
