the notebook is one which'll have you thinking about it for weeks after. its probably my favorite film, so beautiful. and i cry every time.
the lakehouse is also amazing. the concept of it really gets you thinking. its got a twist and the sentiment all over is beautiful.
google them, i really reccommend them.
and donnie darko, if your into that sort of stuff like me
ah notes on a scandal is really good.
its dramatic without all the rubbish of horror films.
superbad is so bad its good. and its really really funny.
juno is very good as well. the way its shot is amazing, and ellen page is perfect for that part.

if your looking for something completely new, and interesting, go with 'Brick', it was released in 2005, it didn't get much publicity [no one really famous is in it], but its a great film, it has a lot of twists and you have to keep on track, but its a great movie and has gotten great reviews.
