They're still available in full-screen on DVD. Like Enchanted was released on both wide and full.
No. Widescreen is better, as you see more of the picture and the director's intended vision. Not some chopped up picture.
nope. its for the HDTVs or well the wide tvs and computer monitors. i wondered too, i saw the full screen version of i am legend on a wide screen computer monitor, the sides were black. we needed wide screen. hahaha. crazy, i know.
widescreen is how movies are made and have been made for decades. Full screen is what annoys me cuz it cuts off up to half of the original picture!
I like full screen too, bought I AM LEGEND last week in full screen, but when I bought THE MIST it was in wide screen only. Yep, I find it very annoying more aren't put out in full screen.
The trends are changing. Earlier also it existed, which was boasting of 70mm movies. Today it is wider because everything is getting wider, the computr screen, the TV- Plasma etc.etc.
