It is a great movie. It was one of those kinds of movies that had me thinking about it after we left the theater for quite a while.....I recommend it!!
I thought it was realy good. It was also sad when hekills his dog and when his family dies. But it still rocked!!
I also saw this movie as well as the other with alternate scenes and alternate ending. I loved it. I thought it was a great movie. Will Smith did an excellent job acting. Shout out to Sam for his acting ability! (did you see the way Sam was limpin after he fought the hell hounds! great acting! lol)
I personally liked the original theatrical ending better because I like the way he died for a cause. This was a great movie. Can't wait for Will Smith's new movie Hancock to come out.
No, it is a great movie. It's so much more than a sci fi zombie movie. you grew to care about Neville and Sam and the other minor characters. It is terribly sad and emotional. It is some of Will Smith's best work and truly overlooked by Oscar.
I think it has a good theme/message.
Some parts are creepy, but it keeps you interested.

Besides the fact that I'm pretty irritated by movies with everyone dying in 2012, it was a pretty good movie. But the ending made me furious and I was especially furious when Sam died. I wasn't aware there were other endings.
I didn't like it at all! It was boring, and had a terrible ending. He probably didn't have to kill himself, and he could've used the vaccine to cure his dog by putting it in the glass containment area, and using the vaccine on it once he found it. Overall it was a terrible movie!!!
i liked it. i was discussing it with my friend and he said he didnt like it because there was a lot of missing information, he also didnt like how it just showed new york and no where else in the world, even though the whole world was supposed to be infected.
i thought it would have been better if he saved the girl he cured at the end.
I only saw one ending... the one in theaters... and well it was fine I guess, but I felt misled by previews. I was expecting some kind of dystopia with a science bent, but it was more of a horror movie. Not really my think. Sorta like 28 days later or whatever.
its stupid.....in the end there were survivors and it had the same ending as the mist
I really loved this movie. Will Smith completely carried it; any other actor and it may not have worked. I've seen both endings and I think there's a reason they went with the one they used in the theatre...it had the dramatic impact they were going for. He had to die for the film to work. What else did he have to live for?
I had heard a lot of hype surrounding it, I too agree that the Dog Sam did an excellent job and possibly should have even got an Oscar nomination. I can't say I thought it was a bad movie but people told me it was really scary, I don't know I maybe jumped once or twice during it. Excellent special effects but something was lacking a bit maybe it was that there wasn't an awful lot of actors in the whole film or I thought the plot could have developed a bit more just something felt missing. I had seen both the 28 Days films only a week or two before and they are fairly similar. Overall its a film worth watching but I prefer the 28 Days ones more at least definitely the first one.
i'm a huge fan of the apocalypse idea, and i couldn't wait to see I Am Legend. i loved all the different views of New York completely emptied, but i wasn't too happy with the creatures. honestly, the visuals sucked, it leaves me wondering couldn't they afford better? maybe i'm just too spoiled by the pirates of the caribbeans... another thing that made me mad was that i felt that the whole movie was a wasted chance to be a really great film. sure the dog dieing brought tears to my eyes, but out of 1-10 (10 being the best) i would give it a 6.6.
p.s. i hear the book's much better if you want to read it
