I am legend? Anyone whos seen it?!

Question: I know its been a while now, its now on DVD, but did anyone find this movie EXTREMELLY sad? Omg I cried so hard during this movie but I had to keep it silent cuz the theatre was packed. I was so upset when he had to choke his dog. I was honestly heartbroken when he was talking to that maniquin and he said "I promised my friend I would say hi to you, hi....hi......please say hi to me." Why did they have to make it sooo sad?

I balled when he had to kill Sam too. I have a German Shepherd myself and when I saw it theater I couldn't control myself. I went home and just hugged her.
Creepy because my dog was about the same age and I have the same relationship with her that he did with his dog....I'm gonna go hug my dog now )=

Yes i did find it sad when the dog had to die. It was a really good movie though.

I found it sad i cried and i also found it not exactly scary but shocking like woooo i didnt see that coming

Watching it right now as you speak. : )

I think they made it that way, because it's more realistic. I mean the guy has been alone for A LONG time.

I didn't cry, but I did have a heavy feeling in my chest during that scene. It definitely got to me.

I guess they had it become sad, because Robert Neville always knew that he would be completely alone someday, and that that thought had become a reality.

it was really sad but it was also really hard to follow. i didnt get it till about half way though it.

i wasnt as sad but felt compassion for the the character when he had to kill sam

but anyone else, i mean, heck guys im old, and a vet and nothing scares me, but holy crap, knowing what i know about so called miracle cures and how good and bad medicines have come from experimental accidents, this damn movie with all that it planted in my thinking kept me awake for a full 24 hours,

It pained to see him pleading to the mannequin, it was sad yes, and they showed it to let us gauge his desperation, his pain, his helplessness.

We always like to see that love and firm resolve bring out good results and happy endings, but it was sad to see how his love for his dog made him kill it.

No matter how sad but it is equally true that alongside that love which made him kill his dog was that streak of selfish self-preservation instinct and it is sad that no amount of love can overrule this fact. And facts are sad............

yes very sad!!!!

Very very sad!!! =[

Yes it was sad. It was a good movie though. The dog part was really sad

same here... i didn't like when the dog died.
the dog was soo cute!!!
:)

yea it was totally sad...but that made it even better im not much of an emotional person but when he had to choke his dog....i did cry and i held my dog there and jsut petted him...i love my dog and i couldnt imagine having to do that :(

I thought the bit when he was talking to the dolls was funny because that ment he had gone crazy and was a loner. But the part when he had to kill the dog was sad. It was sadder when he looked at the car seat where the dog sat. Still was a good movie
