Why is the wolvorine so popular?!

Question: Why is the wolvorine character so popular on the X-men series. It seems like his character is "weak" and he has no special powers other than teeth and fangs. He's not that intelligent either.

In addition to all the forementioned stuff don't forget the adamantium infused skeleton. He does have a problem with ranged combat, and he can't fly so i can see why you might think him lacking somewhat, but up close he'll tear most anything to shreds, kinda like a real life wolverine.

i guess u never read the comic book.
"no powers" huh?

he is intelligent.
not at all weak--way to pay attention by the way.
he has superly good smelling and stuff like that.
more than just teeth and fangs..

the guy is basically invincible since he can heal himself so rapidly. and out of all of the other x-men he stands out because of his negative attitude towards things.

Well 'Bub, Wolverine is the type of hero that will always go and try to save the day no matter what!!! Also, slick, he is stronger and faster than most mutants/people and regenarates from injuries! What is not to like??

And by the way, its Wolverine, not "wolvorine!"
