Question: I just found out about this website, called 'WikPik', which works very much the same as Yahoo! Answers, but they concentrate specifically on viewer's movie reviews; I happened to stumble upon the advertisement, which said:

...now isn't that the stupidest thing you ever heard??? I mean, yeah right!!! Write a couple dozen movie reviews, and what do you get??? A crummy t-shirt??? I mean, I'm all for contributing my personal views on specific movies, but come on, WikPik!!! You gotta motivate me to contribute, with something more than that!!! I mean, what do I get if I review another dozen or so movies??? Another t-shirt???

...well, first of all, why complain about this here??? Shouldn't you be venting your wrath to the 'WikPik' gods, over at their website???
...secondly, I happen to be a frequent contributor to WikPik; it is a very cordial and friendly place to exchange movie reviews and information. I have met numerous fine folks, over at that website, with a lot of the same movie interests as myself, so if anything, it's a place to connect with a great group of people...
...finally, being an aspiring writer, it's not necessarily the t-shirt, which I'm shooting for; being that most of the contributors of this website are pretty much freelance or amateur writers, or perhaps just want to express their views on specific movies, it is merely the chance to get my/our/their stuff out there. If, at the very least, aspiring writers use this to get some kind of exposure, then that's the best, and most satisfactory restitution one can hope for....and that's good enough for me!!!

Sounds like to me that you are actually doing a bit of advertising for this site. Still doesn't mean anyone will go to the site. Better luck next time.

Yahoo answers doesn't give anything as a prize, so I assume a T-shirt is worse than nothing in your eyes.
Getting a free shirt is still getting a free shirt. All they are asking is for you to volunteer your opinion anyway. Why should they give anything away in the first place?? You should be lucky to get anything. I'ma go do a few reviews and get a FREE t-shirt. I could always use one more.
