Scary movies...?!

Question: Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could tell me any great horror movies, not too old, and not really gory, but scary. I think probably those that make you jump or wonder, so much that it haunts you to think about it. Please no home looking scary movies. I heard that the horrorfest movies were good, did any of you see them?

Thanks :-D

Salvage
The Gate
Wind Chill
Ghost Story
The Innocents
The Believers
Stir of Echoes
Burnt Offerings
Population 436
The Changeling
The Dark (2005)
The Messengers
The Other (1972)
Hideaway (1995)
The Gravedancers
The Bone Snatcher
The Sentinel (1977)
The Haunting (1963)
The Possession of Joel Delaney
The Legend of Hell House (1973)
Red Rover aka The Haunting Within
Curse of the Demon aka Night of the Demon
Jeepers Creepers~The first one isn't as gory as the second. Actually, I think both are worthwhile. It never falls into the "torture porn" others tend to.

You should try the films of Val Lewton:
Bedlam
Isle of the Dead
The Leopard Man
The Seventh Victim
Cat People (original)
The Body Snatcher (1945)
Curse of the Cat People~almost a fairytale at times but with eerie moments; obviously, a sequel to "Cat People"
I Walked With a Zombie~This is an eerie, haunting and sometimes beautiful b&w film from the brilliant Val Lewton. It's inspired by "Jane Eyre"! This follows the traditional folklore.

The last Ammityville Horror movie that came out, I thought it was great!

devil times five-------pretty old (1970s) but FREAKY a bunch of little kids go on a psychotic killing spree

The Exocism of Emily Rose gave me nightmares! I think it's the scariest movie I've ever seen. And I don't get freaked out by too much.

The Ring
The original Omen and Omen 2 (you might consider them old, but they are s-u-s-p-e-n-c-e-f-u-l!!

One horror movie i would recommend is See No Evil with Glen Jacobs, AKA Kane from WWE. He plays a serial killer who preys on the people that come into this hotel where he stays.

the decent. it was very suspensful and very scary at the end. a little gory but not bad. the shining is kinda old but so freakin scary. never gets old.

if you want scary then look no further THE EXORCIST i see lots of horror movies and that one was definitely the freakiest

The Evil Dead. From 1980 and gory but it depends on the person if it is scary or not.

Try "Wind Chill" it is a new release that my feonce and I rented last night it is a really scary movie. It is one of those horror movies that really make you think and from what I could tell this is just the type of movie that you are looking for. good luck and if you chose this movie I really hope you enjoy it.
