The Exorcist, hands down.

There are two on this list that are pretty creepy:
-The Exorcist (HELLoo!)
-The Shining
yes i agree. the exorcist was the scariest. BEYOND scary. The ring and the grudge are lame. The little girls are whats scary:P
The Exorcist...but It was a close second for me. I absolutely hate clowns.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was more gruesome than scary.

weren't anything special, but everything else was good.

the sixth sense scared me to death, but the exorcist was pretty scary too. i actually wrote an analysis in my anthropology: fear and magic class on why american's think the exorcist is so scary. it was fun to watch and analyze it, even though i screamed in class when her head turned all the way around....freakyyyyy

'The Exorcist' because it's psychological horror at its finest. I find that type of horror much more effective than horror that relies heavily on repeated attempts at trying to make the viewer jump.
