The Exorcist hands down because that stuff can really happen and you have no power over it.

threeten ghost. i cant explain it. it just freeked me out

For me it is The Exorcist. I watched it when I was younger and it totally scared the crap out of me. Possessions are disturbing to me and while there are a few cheesy parts in this movie, overall it is very disturbing. Plus it is based on a true story, I believe based off the book that the priest wrote from his experience of the exorcism.

The scariest movie in my opinion is the original "Halloween." I don't know what it is about Michael Myers, but he freaks me out. I think it's because he doesn't have to run to catch you...he's so calm, and he doesn't speak. I've had nightmares about being his therapist (my degree is in psychology...lol).

If you've seen it, try the remake by Rob Zombie. It's pretty good, too (though not AS good).

EDIT: I guess the "thumbs down" fairy visited this question too...

The ring. Could it really happen?????????????????

Freddy vs. Jason...omg when i saw like three years ago afterwards, i got kinda scared to being in the house by myself lol i seemed paranoid for a short period of time!

Jaws. The original. Music will get you going.

SHUTTER-it made me flutter,GRUDGE 1&2-i cud not budge,EXORCIST-exhausted me.these were my scariest.

evil dead----bcoz i was a kid...
now it looks more funny than tom n jerry

apart from movies, i have seen the bbc documentary of "men who killed jfk". Its very very scary to me...

The Shining

Ever since 1980 when it came out, it's messed with my head every time I watch it. Not much in the way of blood and guts at all....simply the ultimate suspense thriller.

silent hill i don't mess with zombies and mutants like dat or the skeleton key

The Exorcist. I saw it in the 70's and I got quite a reaction from it when I returned home that night. The water in the toilet bowl suddenly turned itself on as while in the bathroom. I had forgotten it was defective and was in need of repair for quite some time. But it still startled the heck out of me.

well, it may sound stupid
but i got scared watching the messenger
i don't know why but i did...

white screem. that movie is scary

Both The Ring and The Ring 2 scared me, if you do not already know, these two movies are about a girl who kills you seven days later when you watch her movie.

Of the Final Destination movies, the first and third scared me the most, the second one didn't as much. It's about someone seeing an accident before it happens, and prevents people from dying. But later death comes after them because they were all supposed to die.

Silent Hill scared the crap out of me. Apparently it doesn't make as much sense if you have never played the video game, but I've never played it and I was scared. It's about a women who has a child with "problems" and they go to Silent Hill to figure out why the kid is sleepwalking and what not, but the town is deserted and filled with ghosts.

Oh, and Pulse was scary. It may have been scarier for me because I watched it at the drive in and had the bass in my car all the way up so not only was I seeing the movie, but I was feeling it as well. It's basically about this guy who releases spirits through the internet, and they start to come out through all things electronic, like phones and computers. It's pretty creepy considering the world we live in is connected virtually through every phone and every computer.

I would say that watching any type of supernatural horror movie would be scarier than the slasher ones. Simply because you know their isn't a crazed man outside your house waiting with a knife to cut you up, but in every dark shadow I swear their is a ghost waiting to kill me. Haha.

If u have guts 2 see d most scariest muv
watch d muv "88 minutes". U will forget everything else

night of the hunter, its a classic its about a preacher that has love and hate tattooed on his knuckles and he's one of the most evil characters I've seen, I can't say more because it will ruin it. Its the first movie that ever "thrilled" me. I've heard of another called 'I want to live' but I didn't see it but the ending scene is supposedly one of the scariest its about a woman on death row.
please don't see the ring, the grudge, freddy vs jason, or any new horror films, most of them are bad except skeleton key. Also the original halloween rocked my socks off.
