There Will Be Blood better than No Country for Old Men on IMDB?!
Question: I noticed that even though No Country won the Oscars for Best Director & Best Picture, There Will Be Blood is listed about twelve spaces ahead of it on the IMDB Top 250 Films of All Time...
Which do you think is the better movie?
Though I was happy to see the Paul Thomas Anderson and the Coen finally getting some legit recognition as the best directors out there, personally I was hoping for a split:
Best Director - Paul Thomas Anderson
Best Picture - No Country for Old Men
Anyhow, I loved both movies but in my opinion There Will Be Blood was the better movie. The Academy didn't think so, but apparently the people who voted on IMDB do.

Agree with your picks. Daniel Day-Lewis gave a great performance at the end. Anton Chigur was a better character and that actor stole the movie.
There Will Be Blood was better all around.
no country for old men was better. although i havent read either of the books. i cant compare the charaters because they were both well developed and played by amazing actors. last time i checked people on imdb were less than impressed with there will be blood. i personally really liked it, but preferred no country.
hmm.....i would say in general no country for old men is the better movie.....it's just a more satisfying story in my opinion. The coen brothers' storytelling ability, crisp editing, and engaging dialogue is superb, however as far as characters go, Daniel Plainvew wins. You just can't beat Daniel Day-Lewis' acting.
No Country for Old Men for me and for all
There will be blood & Daniel Planview hands down.
