Schindler's list questions?!

Question: I need help with these questions about Schindler's list.

Why aren't many of the main characters in this movie killed and if they were killed how would this effect relatives of people who were murdered in the holocaust?

What's the point of the soldier playing the piano during the ghetto massacre and the soldier shooting the pile of burning bodies?

Why did the SS officials laugh at Schindler when he was hosing the boxcars down with water?

There are more but those ones I had trouble with. I had trouble understanding the movie and I'm stuck with a big question sheet and each answer has to be a paragraph.

I'm not quite sure about the first question...but...

2. The point of the soldier playing the piano was that as he was playing, he was enjoying himself while people were either fleeing or being killed. The fact that he just sat down and started playing with a smile on his face shows that he shows no emotions towards the Jews being massacred.

3. The SS officials laughed at him because, in their eyes, Schindler was being "kind" to the Jews by spraying water in the boxcars. Even though they were hungry, hot, and extremely thirsty, the SS officers just sat in front of the cars, drinking their beers.

The movie was toned down and a lot of atrocities were excluded.

The whole POINT of the story was about how Schindler managed to save many of those who might have, otherwise, died in the concentration camps. We wouldn't HAVE many of these stories except for the accounts passed on to us via the survivors.

If ALL the Jews died, then Schindler's story would not have been so compelling.

<<It was a true event if you didnt know>>
and they werent killed because they werent killed in real life.. I have no clue why the soldier played the piano
and the ss officers laughed becuase they thought schindler was torturing the jews but in reality he was helping them...
