What do you think of no country for old men?!

Question: I really liked it and the unusal psycho hitman. I found tommy lee jones' character quite insignificant however and did not find it fitting that he got the last word, allthough i understand this was trying to sum up the whole sentiment of the film, which i thought was 'a world gone crazy without reason which the older generation could not understand'. I found the most interesting story was between lewelyn and the guy chasing him, sorry i cant remember the names i'm too tired to even be writing this.
I think the best ending would have been an obvious all out shoot-out war between all parties involved, although this may not have been true to the book i think it would have made this film a classic. And then maybe after this we could have had tommy lee jones final thoughts, but with the amount of build up in the film, we needed a big shoot out to make it worth it.
What did you think?

I agree the ending was a little anti-climatic considering most of the film was gun violence. It also seemed strange to me that Llewellyn, being the main character that the audience had followed throughout, was killed in a very insignificant way. I haven't read the book so I'm assuming the director was staying true to it in a way that would make sense to those who had read it. Apart from that the characters were well played, especially the serial killer, and the action was very thrilling, almost scary at times. After Tommy Lee Jones' little speech at the end it seemed to me the whole film, rather than portray a moral message about how violent the world has become, was about an older generation losing touch with the world as we progress; that's nothing new, it happens every generation.

it was an entertaining film but didnt really do it for me unlike there will be blood
that movie blew me away

I thought you were asking us?

that movie was great. I usually dont use academy awards to judge my movies(juno?) but that one deserved every award it got.

yeah I actually seen It last night, It was well made, that guy was a little too good at playing a lunatic. BUt, I fell asleep because it was really drawn out. Im really eager to find out the ending.

boringggggg, my did liked it tho

Anton Sugar gave me nightmares for a week! Even watching him accept his academy award gave me a nightmare. That compression tank was super scary. I found the movie to be pretty good. A little long, though, and I TOTALLY agree on the tommy Lee Jones parts. I was surprised he had the last word. Altogether though, I thought the movie was worth watching and Javier Bardem definitely deserved an Oscar. He scared the crap out of me.
