I enjoy both actors, both phenomenal actors. Both actors come from two different time generations, Denzel is a more popular actor for movie viewers today, and Morgan from the past. Both were fantastic actors in Glory.
Morgan Freeman is also a great narrator, such as in Shawshank redemption, and mostly played supporting roles, while Denzel plays lead roles in popular movies titles in the last decade. The last good movie, I remember Morgan actually starred as a lead was Leon on me, and that was quite a few years ago. I haven't seen Bucket list, and once again Morgan is paired up with another great actor Jack Nicholson.
Freeman I just like the way he acts more.

Denzel because he has a lot more to offer i think. Freeman is great without question though.
Both are excellent actors.

i love them both they both good in thier own ways, im going to say denzel washington as i think morgan freeman tends to narrate a little more and do less acting but when he does act he is amazing. can you have it equal lol.x
Morgan Freeman - he's made far more good films than Denzel Washington. I also think that he's a much more versatile actor - he's done everything from comedy to playing a murdering pimp. His work in 'The Shawshank Redemption' was the heart of the film - I can't imagine anybody else playing that part.
I also like Denzel Washington, just not as much as Morgan Freeman.

name one bad movie that denzel was in. he just knows how to pick em. freeman is a great actor but every once in a while he picks a movie like the bucket list and tells everyone that he just does not have what it takes. good question they are both awsome.

Two truly epic actors who have the ability to characterise the heart of a movie by subtle nuances within their roles.
Denzel has always played the heavier roles and has carried more movies than Morgan Freeman, although Denzel's body of work lacks the light comedic roles that are a forte of Morgans.
It's interesting to note how often Morgan is cast in the role of God.
"Glory" featured both actors in pivotal roles but Denzel Washington's portrayal, required the greater acting skills.
So for me Denzel Washington, with humble apologies to the great Morgan Freeman.
