Well they had to make it into 2 movies because if they don't they will cut a lot of stuff from the book to be able to squeeze it all into one film.

what's the big deal? you'll go see them both anyway. besides the last two films were too choppy, and if they left anything out of the deathly hallows in the new movies it would be so disappointing.

they would come out at different times. it would jsut be awkward and weird. just make it super long. all the true fans would sit for all of it
they're trying to make money!!! everyone one knows all the movies after the first two were lousy. i'm a huge hp fan but i can't help feeling that the movies started to suck after columbus stopped directing them. making 2 movies of the seventh book is probably their way of making more money...
Owing to the massiv amounts of complains in regards to "Phoenix", in which huge tracts of the book were abandoned, and the overwhelming nature of book 7, it is the best idea, so that the FULL book can be told without dropping things becuase no one wants to sit through a six-hour film
either they make it in to two movies or they cut out all the important parts of the book and you lose some of the best parts of the story. I highly doubt they were trying to be mean.
