Do you think that Oscar and Razzie are bullsh!t awards?!

I think that the Academy Awards and Razzies are just a bunch of sheananigan..The Oscar is just a stupid popularity show and the Razzie is just a stupid parody...
Let me explain..
In 1980, there is this movie called The Shining by Stanley Kubrick..It is known as one of his best movie and the scariest movie of all time..And I don't understand why this movie was ignored by the Academy and Kubrick got nominated for Worst Director(razzie)..How the hell did it happen?
I have more proof but maybe we all discust later on..

i understand how you feel about "the shining". and yes, i agree with you that both the oscars and the razzies are very unnecessary bullsh!t. here lately if you have an axe to grind against the republicans, you get the oscar. if you are a leading male or female that is known for your anti-government rhetoric, you will win or at least get nominated. some of these films that get best picture are outright horrible, the acting or actors are not that good, and the directing isn't what it used to be. and before anybody tells me. i'll say this, no i could not do a better job but as one of the many millions of people out there buying the tickets to fund your next movie, i have the right to say what i want about any movie.
I think the Oscars are dubious awards to begin with: a company town putting its stamp on a company product, as my old film textbook would have it. And the Razzies are just plain unnecessary and stupid -- a waste of resources from people who ought to get into the arena and make a film of their own.
any1 one who knows movies knows the shining. and the actor it made.. lol 2nd yes the oscars are bull..(they refuse to nominate moves thata re popular like harry potter, or bat man and such !if the criteria for a good movies it popularity(and its a factor for sure) then shouldnt they be nominated. in the last 5 years they have given movie of the year to only 1 movie that has grossed more then 150 million(lord of the rings) no wonder viewership is at an all time low! at some point u need to realize theses low budget movies that nobody cares about aint that good...
Awards are not bullsh!t. But the people are who receive them.
