Can someone tell me the full story of "War of the Roses" the movie?!

it's always best to see the movie. It's been a while for me but here's what i remember.
A guy goes to see a divorce lawyer played by Danny DeVito and DeVito says that he's gonna tell him the story of a couple he represented so that maybe he'll change his mind about getting a divorce. Michael and Kathleen (i can't remember the character's names) met at on an upstate island (Long Island? I'm not sure exactly) at an auction where they both were bidding for the same glass figurine (sp?). He ends up winning it and she finds him after the auction and tries to get him to sell it to her but he raises the price higher. They fuss about that and go out to eat and the next thing you know they're in a bed room having sex. Later that day they both catch a ferry ride back to main land. They start dating and get married and have two kids. He's a hard working accountant (i think) and she's a stay at home mom and he opens a big account that gets him a big bonus and higher position in the company. So they move into this big house. He starts working longer hours. She realizes that she's living the wrong life when he starts belittling her in front of his clients. She really starts to resent him and they start arguing more and pulling pranks and stuff. Like when he cut all the heals off of her shoes (ALL the heals). and when she locked him in the sauna. or when she locked her legs around him so tight that he passed out and the next day had a minor heart attack (or something) when that happened he got scared and wrote out a will leaving her the house. after a day in the hospital (she never visited him) he was home and okay. After a big final argument they decide that they want a divorce (by now the kids are away at college) and the struggle about who gets the house starts. They meet with lawyers (but i can't remember what they said) Anyways the big scene comes at the end where they're fighting each other in the house and both finally kill each other but just moments before they die they reach out for each other and hold each others hand and then die. DeVito shows up and calls an ambulence and then brings the story up to date the guy he was counsuling said that he'd give his marriage another try.
that's all i remember it's been a couple of months since i've watched it.
