I am legend movie, didnt really get it?!
Question: ok i watched the whole i am legend movie and i didnt get it. i mean why did the bridge break and how come every1 turned into those monster things and like how come the people didnt hear him on the radio and send help to him?? movie was awesome but confusing so yeah really only question is

The Bridge was destroyed to prevent the infected from leaving NYC which is where the original 10,009 people who had cancer was injected. Will Smiths wife said something about the virus had "JUMPED" which means it jump species - dogs and cats and other animals were NO LONGER immune. So the CDC would have had the whole city isolated to prevent the spread BUT it DID become airborne. BEcause later on Will Smith said, Sam (his dog) was immune to the airborne but NOT the contact. If you pay attention to when he is driving that mustang at the begining of the movie u can see a LOTTTTTA police cars which suggest a LOT of fighting took place! People were trying to flee NYC but couldnt! As far as the radio message goes. it WAS on an AM frequency. After all, no need to do FM because u dont wanna alert those monsters to where he will be at in the day! THATS why he aklways returned home AFTER the sun had come up! There ARE holes in the movie. Like HOW did the woman adn kid get ON Manhattan Island? HOW did they get off? IF she and the kid were the only survivors left then just HOW did she find out about the safe haven in Vermont??? I LOVED the MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In spite of all the holes! WIll Smith is a GREAT actor and this movie shows his depth as an actor. Another point isssss, the monsters WERE becoming intelligent again! I think it was that MAIN zombie/vampire creature that movied the maniken and placed that spike in the water that Will Smith got caught in. The creature DID risk its own life to LOOK out of the darkness to see who had jsut capture its friend. AND he was ALSO BARKING orders during the attack on Smiths house. NOT to mention he DID let his zombie dogs go after Smith and Sam!
Obviously you really didn't pay attention to the movie..but thats ok.
In the very beginning they show an interview with a doctor that created a vaccine that cured cancer. That vaccine became defective, and ended up turning everyone into the vampire like creatures because the "virus" went air borne. The reason no one heard him on the radio is because mostly everyone was dead/turned into night people. The reason the bridge was shot down was to isolate new york city from the rest of the world (I suppose it was ground zero) and it was shot down by the government.
Why are you asking rhetorical questions then? The Lady and the boy heard it because they were in the area.
anyway the movie was not very good...I suggest if you want a better understanding you should read the book.
Watched it last night, not a fan. Pretty poor if you ask me.
The bridges where shot down by the army to stop people who where infected leaving the area to stop the spread.
As for the radio, you'd only hear Will Smiths broadcast if you where in the area. The camp in Vermount would be to far away to pick anything up plus even if it did; how could they know if he was alive or if the messgae was outdated?
The us air force shot the bridge to stop any of the infected getting off the islan and infecting any more people. Nobody heard him on the radio cos nearly everyone was infected. And the reason everyone turned into the monster things was that scientists thought they had found a cure for cancer and they gave it to 10,000 people, which spread rapidly, all around the world.
Radio signals have a range, there is no radio transmitter that can broadcast a signal all around the world without help from satellites. You're saying you've never driven out of your town and suddenly your radio station goes static?
